Donorschoose.org

Many of you are probably aware of the American Express promotion that will aware up to $5 million to one lucky charity.  Donorschoose.org has made it into the final five.  At Bards and Sages, we are particularly happy to announce this, as Donorschoose.org is our current benefiting charity for our annual writing contest. 

 Donorschoose.org connects donors with public schools to help fund much needed educational projects.  While the government is quick to throw tax dollars at testing, testing, testing, schools suffer from a severe lack of mundane supplies that can be used to enhance learning.  Particularly in elementary schools, teachers often find themselves reaching into their own pockets for simple things like craft paper!  Anyone who knows a teacher knows first hand what they struggle with to provide a positive learning environment for children.

You can also suppose Donorschoose.org by participating in our annual writing contest.  While we aren't paying out millions of dollars, prize monies will be used to help pay for school projects.  And the best part is that the winning writers will get to select which projects get funded!
